House of 4711 still makes and bottles the original formulae of No. 4711 Eau de Cologne and in the same factory. In Cologne Germany there is also a “Factory Museum” if you wish to visit the museum, a collection of 300 years of history of perfume making in Germany. I should note that the Germany fragrance industry dates back before the 1st century, when Julius Caesar, Emperor of Roman Empire invaded Germany in 49 AD he would discover German perfumed soaps.
