Bourjois Paris Parfums was originally part of Werthmeimer Company created cosmetics, powder and the world famous Evening In Paris - Soir de Paris Perfume. Werthmeimer sold the rights to New York, A. Bourjois & Co., that now owns the copyrights to Soir De Paris, Bourjois Paris. A. Bourjois & Co., also became world famous with their landmark lawsuit when K-Mart imported large shipments of Evening In Paris from the European affiliate. The Supreme Court heard the complaint and A. Bourjois & Co., won the case which established that no foreign owned company may import to the U.S. any product that is owned by a U.S. registered company.
