Madame Carven, Fashion and Perfume Designer

Madame Carven created Carven in Paris in 1945 after World War II. She established her fashion house on the Camps Elysees near the Arch de Triumph. Madame Carven was sought after for haute couture fashion by film stars in the post-war era. With her fragrance "Ma Griffe" a flowery, feminine perfume with hints of gardenia and jasmine, Madame Carven established herself as an important perfume designer. Edward Achour became Artistic Director at Carven Paris in 1990.
