Celine Dion was born in 1968 in Charlemagne near Montreal, Canada, one of fourteen children. Celine Dion began singing by age of 5 and she wrote her first song at age 12. In 1982 Celine won the Gold Medal at the Yamaha World Song Festival. In 1983 she received a Gold Record in France. She became internationally famous when she recorded the Disney theme song for "Beauty and the Beast". Celine Dion has expanded into ready to wear fashion and perfumes.
