Diane Von Furstenberg was born in Brussels, Belgium. Diane studied economics at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, where she met her husband Austro-Italian Prince Egon Von Furstenberg. Afterward they married and moved to New York, where they raised a family. In 1972 Diane started designing comfortable dresses and in 1975 she designed her first perfume fragrance "Tatiana" named after her daughter.
