Elizabeth Arden Biography
a.k.a., Florence Nightingale Graham

Elizabeth Arden was born Florence Nightingale Graham in 1884 in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada. Graham pursued a career as a nurse in the early 1900's, until she moved to New York (1907-1908). In New York she started working as a beauty specialist for Eleanor Adair. In 1910 she partnered with Elizabeth Hubbard to open their first salon, this partnership broke up and Graham formed "Elizabeth Arden". By 1915 Elizabeth Arden was an international firm and the cosmetic line had been created.
