Elizabeth Taylor was born in London, England on February 27, 1932. While she was a Brithish subject, her parents were American art dealers from St. Louis, Missouri, who had moved to London. In 1939 the family returned to the United States, relocating to Los Angeles, California. Taylor's first appeared in a film in 1942 and in 1944 Taylor stared in "National Velvet". In 1945 she co-stared in "Life with Father" and Taylor was nominated for an Academy Award for "Raintree Country and nominated again in 1958 for "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof". Taylor goft an Oscar for"Butterfield 8" and also for "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". In 1966 Taylor started her perfume business and successfully created "White Diamonds" a top selling perfume worldwide.
