Giorgio Armani is one of the designer nearly everyone has heard of, even those who are not devotees of fashion. Giorgio Armani was born in 1934 in Piacenzo, Italy. He attended medical school for two years, and then dabbled in photography. He began pursuing his interest in fashion when he look a job in a department store. In 1961 Armani joined Nino Cerruti as a designer, then Armani his own business in 1970. In partnership with Sergio Galeotti and his sister Rosanna Armani, Giorgio Armani created his own label. Armani has become famous through a lifelong devotion to cinema stars. Armani has developed Emporio Armani, Giorgio Armani, Giorgio Beverly Hills, Classico, Neve, Armani Golf and A/X Armani.
