Madame Alix Gres made her first creation in 1934 and opened her first small shop called "Alix Barton" in Paris in 1934. Her creations were awarded a prize at the 1939 International Exposition held in Paris. After the war she reopened as "Gres Parfum" and in 1959 she introduced her most famous perfume "Cabochard" which is still a popular feminine fragrance. Today Gres continues to preserve and develop prestigious image and style of perfumes and clothes.
