E. Loewe started in Madrid, Spain in 1846 as a small luxury leather goods makers and in 1872 Enrique Loewe Roessberg joined the firm. By 1905 Enrique Loewe Hinton had received appointments as "Official Supplier of the Royal Court" by King Alfonso XIII. In 1945, after the war Perez de Rozas created the famous"box-calf" handbag and later, in 1974, Dario Rossi began the famous suede-chivas collection, followed by Renzo Zengiaro and the "Napa" Collection in 1979. Today Loewe Madrid is owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennesey and Jose Enrique Ona Selfa is the Creative Manager.
