Franco Moschino was born near Milan, Italy in 1950. He studied art in school and started his career working as a sketcher for Giorgio Armani. He later worked for Cadette in 1976 then started his own company Moonshadow S.p.A in 1083. Moschino was charismatic, imaginative and whimsical. He was rebellious and often spoofed traditional designers like Chanel and Louis Vuitton. Moschino's majority owner is Aeffe S.p.A., San Giovanni (owned by Massimo and Alberta Ferreti) The Moschino labels include Cheap and Chic perfume, Moschino Jeans, Moschino Couture is now operated by Rosella Jardini.
