Vicky Tiel made her first dress when she was only 9 years old and living in Chevy Chase, Maryland. By 1964 she had become a star student at New York's Parson School of Design. Vicky Tiel moved to Paris and worked with French designer Louis Feraud fashion shows where Vicky designed and introduced the "mini" skirt. She then created film costumes and with the help of her friend Elizabeth Taylor, Vicky Tiel founded her Paris Boutique on Rue Bonaparte where she designed dresses for many celebrities.
